Father Mike Schmitz is right, just surrender to God.
When I am not sure about anything, I do not like to debate with myself and confuse myself.
Rather, I just pray to God and tell Him to forgive me if it indeed what I committed is a sin.
I think this is also similar to the situation when in confession we humbly ask the priest to forgive the sins that we may have forgotten.
