Ascension Presents | A Fr. Mike Christmas

give you this riveting magnum opus.‎..

Condensed Reflection
by James Z. Carpio

That nostalgic feeling and unique predilection we—or most—experience during what many consider as one of the most joyous, vibrant occasions of the year—Christmas. We remember/reminisce cherished-childhood-memories of gifts under the adorned tree for instance.

It is bittersweet, though, when we become adults. Our lives became complicated for the most part, the innocence and worry-free/carefree world we came to know when we were young, vanished when we realized that, truly, morose reality bites.

Being positive, giving our best—at least trying—has always been the norm. Indeed, regardless of nuances, and with utmost candor, no one would like to be a failure.

Father Mike has a suggestion for us this Yuletide, he says, “I want to play my best for Him, of course you do, that’s awesome, that’s so great but I’m gonna invite you to do this new thing this Christmas, this Christmas don’t just give God your best, I invite you to give God your worst because what did Jesus come to do? Yeah, He came to redeem our best and make it even better but He also came to take our worst and set us free.”

We had a guest once in our home. Her amiable face was disfigured, yet she has a cheerful and jubilant soul. May it be physical, mental, emotional, financial, and each and every single one of a weakness that we may have, there is a panacea. To drive the message home, perhaps, we may be guilty of brazen avarice or plain enmity. But first, we must acknowledge them, which is basic, subsequently, making them half-solved.

We extol and concur with Father Mike that we have to use this new erudite recommendation which is, essentially, a holistic and balanced approach on life in general.

When we offer God our fault, sin, problem, and our worst, He helps us. We become better, stronger, wiser, motivated, inspired, and good. He frees us.

The diligent and dynamic team of Inspires wish you a Merry Christmas!
