Drunken Master: The Warrior's Club
Jin Jui approached the Master, slowly and ever so smoothly. Absolute silence. Not a single step sent a sound wave. He had been confused, frustrated, and disturbed. He needed words of wisdom that only Master Ang Loo could dispense.
The Master was sitting on a swivel chair—sipping rice wine, as usual—to wind down and to meditate in the middle of the warm afternoon. He was almost half-asleep.
Jin whispered... "Master..." No reaction. He called again, ever so softly. Then, at the fourth time, the master turned and looked at him intently.
"Yes?" Master Loo said in a deep and low voice.
The warrior of the light said, "There is someone who wants to join the club, Master. Since Seh Chi went on a mission. I am at a loss how to do the initiation."
"OOhhhhh.... I see," Master Loo stated, while looking out the window. We have five rules to follow, strictly, to ensure whether he is worthy to join the circle of the warriors of the light. These vital rules are:
I. Never trust anyone, not even your own shadow.
II. Know and test the apprentice.
III. One is enough, two is too much, three is a poison.
IV. Tell him everything he has to know about the club.
V. The club is a family. We are our warrior's keeper.
"That's it!" and the Master smiled.
"But, Master," Jin gave him a quizzical look, "How will I know, if he passed or failed?"
Master Loo gave a hearty laugh and whispered, "Jin... we have never ever rejected anyone since time immemorial, he will just walk away on his own."
