He checked his watch— a quarter past two. The bilingual announcements from the Frankfurt Airport speakers detailed the arrival of the Lufthansa Flight from London-Heathrow in thirty eight minutes. Luke Ritter could not contain his excitement, he was, finally, going to see Stella Graham. After fourteen years or so.

Stella was the first one to spot Luke from her vantage point. She almost did not recognize him. His hair was salt and pepper. 'Luke!'

It was music to his ears, Luke saw her. She was stunning. He beamed ear to ear. His eyes lit up and said, "Honey, I missed you so much. Beyond words."

They decided to have a little something to eat at one of the airport restaurants.

"Remember when we got lost in Bangkok?" 'Yeah,' she said, in between sipping her coffee. 'It was my idea to get a map,' she laughed.

'Luke, we could have stayed for four more days in Barcelona. But you were always busy.' She sighed then looked at his onyx eyes.

"But then again, we will always have Amsterdam." Luke winked.

"I know it was my job. And Paris was home for you while I got relocated to Milan." Luke tried to reconcile the past. She nodded and then smiled. 'We are here now, that's what matters most.'

"I looked at your taxicab as it disappeared along Orchard Road. Far and beyond."

'Yeah, the last time we saw each other,' Stella whispered.

Stella gave him a token wrapped in fancy paper. It was Luke's first published poem printed on a card in a glass-mini-frame. He laughed heartily. "It was one spinning ride. Look where I am now. I have written like thousands of words like the stars in heaven. But somehow, I never ran out."

Luke reached for the inside pocket of his navy blue suit. He took out something...

(It was a ring.)
