Travel Story: BORACAY!

We took a plane from Manila to the island of Aklan. I was with my older brother and our friend. For the first time, I had the opportunity to travel to Boracay. After all these years, and the hype and reputation of Boracay as one of the best islands in the world, finally, I got the chance to see and experience it, we, then, took a boat going to the island.

Boracay is divided in sections from the affordable to the upscale: where the celebrities stay. We stayed at a luxury hotel.

Boracay was teeming with foreigners of many races. I had the chance to talk with a gorgeous Russian woman.

Boracay is breathtaking. Powdery white sands that are soft to the soles of the feet. And the view is spectacular.

Delectable seafood. Absolutely fresh and rich in taste. The other fruits were sumptuous as well. It was always a feast.

The island experience would not be complete without the coconut drink. It is now considered a healthful treat across the globe. Even the United States of America and Japan import that wonder of nature.

A walk, a stroll, a jog, a run; these are what people do, they marvel with awe at the astonishing paradise.

I am lucky, I had the rare open door to see it personally. It was all worth it. Truly, a pearl of the Orient Seas.

Everything is blue and white. So soothing, calming, cooling, and refreshing. And the sun kisses your skin and the holiday color you get after soaking it is no match to a tanning salon.

There are a lot of activities to do; sailing, jet ski or parasailing. Or you can totally relax and lounge the whole afternoon while reading a book.

The reason we went there was to attend a wedding. The Bride is Filipina and the Groom is Mexican.

The amusing part was, at the wedding reception, the staff thought and had the impression that I belonged to the Mexican Groom's entourage. My brother found it hilarious.

My holiday in Boracay is one for the books. A travel story that I can share to anyone who is curious about it.

Living the island life, I had seen a fair share of beaches in The Philippines. They are all the same to me.

But, everyone wants to go to Boracay. If you have been dreaming to go there you may just find what you are looking for. The plethora of attractions are numerous. The nightlife, people watching, the chance to see a celebrity is high: I saw one myself, and sheer enjoyment of a paradise with amenities that are world-class.

Opulence and elegance that are a lifestyle for the rich and famous.
