One Minute Message

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I saw the light and it was blinding. I had to close my eyes or else I could never see again. I am a Philosophy graduate but I chose to trust in my Grandfather Hermenegildo's belief that, "when things are too complicated to understand, go back to the basics."

I can actually walk you through a labyrinth of dizzying concepts like existentialism, epistemology, ethics, metaphysics or aesthetics. I am not here to do that, thank goodness. The wisdom I fortunately gained from my blessed existence, my so-called life, I will relate to you in the simplest terms. I believe that, it is apt to write to express, rather than to impress.

I am here because of you, somehow, someway, the universe led you to this. Serendipity. It was never about me but it is all about you because God Loves you. Readers like you have given feedback about what I have written so far are "light", "positive", and "feel-good" articles. Your interest is my concern. This is a celebration of the intrinsic goodness in humanity. I am committed to that purpose.

Sincerely,

James

Postscript:

Why inspires?

Whenever I took a test at school, my late Mother always told me, "May you be inspired by The Holy Spirit, son!" Favorable results followed.

Now having been inspired, I try to pay it forward whenever I can.

Early Life

Jaime Hermenegildo Zalazar Carpio (Spanish: [ˈxai'me]; Spanish: [ 'er'me'ne'hil'do ]) was born in The City of Naga, Camarines Sur. His mother, Bernardita Concepcion Carpio (née Zalazar; born 1933), was a pianist and teacher. His father, Jesus Antonio M. Carpio (born 1931), was a former captain and director of the National Bureau of Investigation. Carpio has Malay, French, English, Portuguese, Moroccan, and Spanish ancestry. He has Italian heritage on his father's ancestry. Among the eleven brothers, he is the least handsome but the kindest. His maternal great-grandfather, Manuel Alcantara, is the nephew of Don Juan Enriquez Rabago by affinity, while his maternal great-grandmother Concepcion Enriquez, a marquesa, is Don Rabago's niece by consanguinity. Don Rabago is an aristocrat belonging to The House of Bourbon.

He is the nephew of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales and Senior Associate Justice Antonio Tirol Carpio. He is also a nephew of Senator Edgardo Angara on his mother's side.

It is a family secret that he is related to President Ferdinand E. Marcos through the Edralin line paternally, while he is related to President Manuel L. Quezon, maternally, who fondly called his grandmother Tia Fe when he was still alive. Quezon, requested his Tia Fe's family to help fund his election bid for President which the family gladly obliged.

Carpio has an older sister named Rosemaria Constancia who is a classical pianist and painter.

Career

Carpio began working in national Banking/Finance and Telecommunications companies. He ended his Manila Corporate adventure at the International Company, Accenture, in its Human Resources Division.

In 2010, he went back to his hometown to look after his father. He tried his luck being a Radio Disc Jockey at a local FM Station, but during his training, his father passed away and it made him rethink his mission.

Carpio wrote for EzineArticles.com, an American Publishing website, and dabbled into ghostwriting for an American Celebrity.

Then, Carpio began a career as a journalist for a regional newspaper in May of 2013, he started as a contributor and climbed the corporate ladder, so to speak, eventually, becoming a feature writer, then, penultimately, a staff writer, and finally, as a columnist with the title Inspired  for Bicol Mail. He is a contributing columnist for Bicol Standard.

He is a collaborator for Ascension Press, an American Catholic Media Firm, by way of Ascension Presents, specifically for Father Mike Schmitz's video presentations.

Carpio created his own websites using Blogger as a platform. His brother insisted that he buys his own domain because he is a professional writer, but, he always believes that the best things in life are free. His websites are award-nominated. Some articles have been lifted and have circulated around the globe.
